Job Description

As a Colleague Relations Manager at American Express, your role is crucial in developing, implementing, and delivering a comprehensive colleague relations strategy to ensure a consistent approach across locations in India. You will lead a team of Managers and Specialists, fostering inclusivity, collaboration, and best practice sharing. Building strong relationships with key partners and maintaining operational oversight will be key responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Proactively develop, implement, and deliver a comprehensive colleague relations strategy - Lead, coach, and develop a team of Managers and Specialists - Build and leverage relationships with key partners - Maintain robust operational oversight and case governance - Manage relationships with various teams and partners - Drive colleague relations priorities for the market - Drive efficiencies, streamline processes, and support colleague relations engagement - Collaborate with various teams to share data and insights - Develop strategies to improve colleague relations competence for people leaders - Provide proactive training to people leaders on colleague-affecting issues - Stay abreast of evolving regulatory landscape - Analyze market case trends and implement relevant trainings - Maintain a robust control environment Qualifications Required: - Extensive knowledge of CEG within American Express/ITeS & Financial Services industry - Strong people leadership skills - Ability to partner with and influence multiple stakeholders - Proven diagnostic capability in untangling complex employee relations issues - Skilled in conflict resolution, mediation, and negotiation - Ability to handle ambiguity and develop frameworks for emerging workplace challenges - Expertise in designing, implementing, and monitoring CLR policies and processes - Skilled at implementing governance frameworks for critical issues - Risk assessment and mitigation strategies - Impactful communication skills - Deep knowledge of Indian labor laws and global company policies - Ability to interpret and apply complex legal requirements - Experience in having difficult conversations with empathy - Track record of role modeling AMEX Blue Box Values and Leadership Behaviors American Express offers competitive benefits to support your holistic well-being, including competitive base salaries, bonus incentives, financial well-being support, comprehensive medical benefits, flexible working arrangements, generous parental leave policies, and career development opportunities.
