Diploma Engineer Trainee

Role Overview:

The role involves supporting the R&D design team with CAD modelling, detailed engineering documentation, BOM creation, and drawing release for crushing equipment and components. Candidates will work closely with senior design engineers to ensure accuracy, standardization, and timely documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and update 2D/3D models, assembly drawings, and part drawings using CAD tools (SolidWorks/Creo/AutoCAD).
  
• Create and maintain Engineering Documents: BOM, revision control, ECR/ECO updates, and design change records.
  
• Support prototype build documentation and ensure alignment with R&D design standards.
  
• Coordinate with production, quality, and testing teams for design clarification and drawing corrections.
  
• Assist in preparing technical documentation—spec sheets, manuals, and project files.
  
• Ensure engineering data accuracy in PLM/PDM systems.
  
• Maintain drawing libraries and ensure adherence to Propel design guidelines.
  
• Provide support to design engineers during night shift for urgent design releases and engineering updates.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Automobile Engineering.
  
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design fundamentals & GD&T.
  
• Hands-on experience (or internship) in CAD software (SolidWorks/Creo preferred).
  
• Good understanding of documentation practices and engineering change management.
  
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, assemblies, tolerances, and BOM structures.
  
• Willingness to work in

  night shift

  with good communication and coordination skills.
