Digital Learning Designer

Job Summary:

The Digital Learning Designer plans and creates engaging digital learning experiences using instructional design principles and technology. They work with subject matter experts and the Learning and Development (L&D) team to develop interactive content. This role includes developing e-learning courses, videos, quizzes, and other media, as well as integrating these assets into Learning Management Systems (LMS). The Digital Learning Designer ensures that all content meets learning goals and is regularly updated.

This role requires strong skills in e-learning authoring tools, multimedia production, graphic design, and a basic understanding of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI). It is important to understand adult learning principles to create practical and accessible online educational materials for different audiences. The Digital Learning Designer collaborates with the learning team and other stakeholders to develop learning solutions that improve employee performance.

Principal

Content Design & Development

Develop online learning materials, modules, and courses, incorporating interactive elements and multimedia.

Collaboration

Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), instructional designers, and other stakeholders to ensure content accuracy and effectiveness.

Multimedia Production

Create and integrate multimedia assets such as videos, animations, interactive exercises, AI elements, and quizzes into learning materials.

Technology Implementation

Use authoring tools, LMS platforms, and other e-learning technologies to build and deliver courses (e.g., Articulate 360).

Instructional Design Integration

Apply principles of instructional design and adult learning theories to create engaging and learner-centric experiences.

User Experience (UX)

Create interactive and visually appealing learning experiences that are easy to navigate and centered on the user or learner. Focus on storytelling, gamification, and multimedia to develop engaging training experiences that motivate learners and enhance retention.

Content Maintenance

Update and maintain existing online learning content to keep it relevant, accurate, and accessible.
