DGPS & Drone Survey Specialist (Spatix / LiDAR / DTM Expert)

This position involves a mix of field survey operations and office-based data processing, ensuring high-quality deliverables for land acquisition, infrastructure planning, and environmental management projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct DGPS/GNSS surveys using base and rover units for land acquisition, boundary demarcation, and topographical mapping.
• Set up and operate base stations on control points to ensure signal stability and accurate real-time correction.
• Execute drone-based LiDAR data acquisition missions in diverse terrain using professional drones (e.g., DJI Matrice 300 RTK, Zenmuse L1).
• Process and correct LiDAR point clouds in Spatix using the TerraSolid suite (TerraScan, TerraMatch, TerraModeler).
• Generate and validate Digital Terrain Models (DTM) and Digital Surface Models (DSM) by filtering non-ground features and correcting data overlaps or calibration issues.
• Perform RTK and PPK post-processing to ensure centimeter or millimeter accuracy.
• Create final deliverables such as orthophotos, high-density contour maps, 3D models, volumetric reports, and base maps for client use.
• Ensure data accuracy, QA/QC compliance, and standardization of coordinate systems (e.g., WGS 84, UTM).
• Prepare survey reports, analysis documentation, and technical presentations for submission.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.Tech in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or Geospatial Technology.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in DGPS and drone-based LiDAR surveying.
• Proficient in Spatix and TerraSolid workflows for point cloud processing and DTM generation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
