DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities & Configuration Knowledge

1. Jenkins / CloudBees Jenkins

• Write declarative/scripted Jenkins pipelines (pipeline-as-code).
• Create multi-branch pipelines, configure triggers (SCM/webhook/cron).
• Install & configure plugins (Git, SonarQube Scanner, Artifactory).
• Set up Jenkins agents and manage artifacts/test results.
• Troubleshoot builds and monitor logs.

2. Docker

• Write & maintain Dockerfiles and docker-compose setups.
• Build/tag images and manage registry (push/pull from JFrog).
• Implement security best practices (multi-stage builds, cleanup automation).

3. SonarQube

• Configure for Java/Maven/.NET projects.
• Analyse code quality, vulnerabilities, bugs, and enforce quality gates in pipelines.
• Manage rulesets, authentication, and access controls.

4. JFrog Artifactory

• Set up/manage repositories (Maven, Docker, npm).
• Implement retention policies and automate artifact uploads.
• Configure permissions and integrate with Jenkins.

5. GitHub Enterprise

• Manage repos, branches, PRs, and protection rules.
• Configure webhooks for Jenkins integration.
• Apply GitFlow or trunk-based workflows.

6. Linux & Scripting

• Manage Linux environments (Ubuntu/CentOS).
• Automate tasks using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Configure log rotation, reverse proxies (Nginx/Apache).
• Troubleshoot logs across Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory.

Minimum Requirements

• 2–3 years of relevant DevOps experience.
• Hands-on expertise with at least

  2+ tools

  : Jenkins, Docker, SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory, GitHub Enterprise.
• Strong understanding of

  DevOps workflows

  (not just tool usage).
• Must clearly explain

  configurations and automation implemented by themselves

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Exposure to

  Infrastructure-as-Code

• Knowledge of
