Devops Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. The primary responsibilities of this role include designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Tekton (RedHat OpenShift Pipelines), working with Kubernetes, Docker, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and automating tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, and Go.

You will also use Terraform for deploying and managing app-level infrastructure on GCP. In addition to these tasks, you will work with Backstage and React to develop and maintain internal developer portals and enhance their functionality. Your efforts will help build reliable and scalable infrastructure to enhance the developer experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.

• Over 2 years of experience in Cloud Platform Engineering, Infrastructure management, and Enterprise-Scale operations.

• More than 2 years of hands-on work with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including setting up and managing cloud services.

• Experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) for managing workloads and CI/CD operations.

• Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly in solving complex problems in GKE, GCP, and CI/CD.

• Proficient in scripting using Bash, PowerShell, and Python; experienced with Go.

• Experience in developing and enhancing portals using Backstage and React.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, proactive mindset, and strong communication skills.

• Develop and Manage Pipelines: Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Tekton.

• Platform Solutions Support: Develop and improve platform-level solutions for Kubernetes and Tekton by creating templates for various use cases to simplify and enhance the developer experience.

• Google Cloud Platform: Handle platform-level implementations on GCP and use Terraform for creating and deploying app-level resources, following infrastructure as code approach.

• Version Control: Utilize Git for version control to manage changes effectively and ensure code integrity.

• Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, and Python, and Go.

• Internal Portals Development: Use Backstage and React to design and enhance internal developer portals, focusing on functionality and user-friendliness.

• Enhance Observability: Improve the monitoring and analysis of services to ensure smooth operations.

• Problem Solving: Quickly identify and resolve issues in development, testing, and real-world environments.

• On-Call Support: Available for on-call support per schedule to address urgent issues, ensuring the platform remains functional and reliable.

• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest developments in Kubernetes and Google Cloud to enhance platform features.
