Description

  • 1. Responsibilities for System Administrator:
  • 2. Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
  • 3. Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
  • 4. Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritising problems, and assessing impact of issues
  • 5. Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
  • 6. Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
  • 7. Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
  • 8. Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance. Also knowledge of Cloud Server configuration, installation


    Hands on experience in:

      1. Dev-ops2. Containerization3. Setting up webserver4. Proxy5. Sophos6. CI\/CD pipeline and Jenkins7. Setting up Database server & Linux server for with apache and ngnix.8. Sonar9. Cloud computing10. AWS Ec2, load balancer, security groups, backup. RDS , API gateway, cognito , SNS and other commonly used servicesQualifications for System Administrator:1. Associate or Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System2. Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required3. 3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience4. System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus5. Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent6. Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols7. Experience with scripting and automation tools8. A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans9. Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practises, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols","
