Job Summary

AWS DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on
AWS
.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using
CloudFormation
or
Terraform
for provisioning and management.
Configure and troubleshoot
networking components
in cloud environments, ensuring high availability and security.
Administer
Linux operating systems
, including shell scripting (Bash) for automation.
Manage source code repositories and branching strategies using
Git
(Bitbucket).
Build, configure, and maintain
CI/CD pipelines
in
Jenkins
, ensuring smooth integration and deployment workflows.
Implement monitoring, alerting, and performance dashboards using
Prometheus
and
Grafana
.
Administer and optimize
PostgreSQL
and/or
MySQL
databases, including schema design, backups, and performance tuning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure best practices for cloud security, scalability, and cost optimization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven hands-on experience with
AWS cloud infrastructure
(EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, etc.).
Strong expertise in
Infrastructure as Code
using
CloudFormation
or
Terraform
.
Solid understanding of
cloud networking concepts
(VPC, Subnets, Routing, Load Balancers, VPN, Security Groups).
Strong Linux system administration skills with advanced
Bash scripting
.
Proficiency in
Git
version control and experience with
Bitbucket
workflows.
Experience designing and managing
Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
.
Strong background in
Prometheus
and
Grafana
setup, monitoring, and alerting.
Solid database administration experience in
PostgreSQL
and/or
MySQL
.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have (Optional)

Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS).
Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Go for automation.
