DevOps Consultant

About the Role:

highly experienced Freelance DevOps Consultant

setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and IaC frameworks

This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can hit the ground running, bring best practices, and deliver results with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit, design, and optimize cloud infrastructure on

  AWS

  (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, etc.)
• Set up and manage

  CI/CD pipelines

  using tools like

  GitLab CI

  ,

  Jenkins

  , or

  AWS CodePipeline

• Implement and guide

  containerization

  and deployment using

  Docker

  ,

  Kubernetes

  , and

  Argo CD

• Build and manage infrastructure as code with

  Terraform

  (or CloudFormation)
• Support and enhance

  Airflow and Spark configurations

  for ETL/data pipelines
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging systems (CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, etc.)
• Write automation scripts (Python, Bash) for common DevOps tasks
• Provide clear documentation and handover to internal teams
• Consult on cloud security best practices and DevSecOps workflows

Requirements:

• 5+ years of DevOps experience, including recent freelance/consulting work
• Proven expertise in

  AWS cloud architecture and services

• Deep experience with

  Docker

  ,

  Kubernetes

  , and deployment automation
• Strong knowledge of

  Terraform

  or equivalent IaC tools
• Hands-on experience with

  CI/CD pipelines

  and version control practices
• Experience working with

  Airflow

  and

  Apache Spark

  in production environments
• Strong scripting ability in

  Python

  ,

  Bash

  , or

  PowerShell

• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills for client-facing documentation and meetings

• Experience advising or mentoring internal DevOps teams
