Desktop Support Specialist

You will be joining Restroworks (formerly Posist), a company focused on enabling global restaurants to thrive by providing cloud-based solutions. Your role as a Content Writer will involve translating complex technical solutions into engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough testing and validation of various PC hardware components, such as motherboards, CPUs, RAM, HDDs/SSDs, power supplies, and graphics cards to ensure functionality and performance meet specifications. - Perform basic assembly and disassembly of PC systems for testing and diagnostics. - Install, configure, and manage Windows and Linux operating systems for testing environments and system validation. - Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently. - Document hardware specifications and track PC systems, components, and peripherals. - Maintain detailed records of testing procedures, results, and issues. Report non-conformance and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure product quality. - Demonstrate a strong zeal to learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies related to evolving PC hardware and software. Required Qualifications/Skills: - Degree or Diploma in Computer Hardware & Networking. - Very good understanding of the function, specifications, and interoperability of core PC hardware components (motherboard, CPU, RAM, storage devices, etc.). - Basic, practical experience with PC hardware assembly and configuration. - Well-versed with Operating System installation and basic configuration for both Windows and Linux environments. - Proven ability to perform effective troubleshooting for both PC hardware and software issues. - Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and clear communication abilities. - A strong desire and enthusiasm to rapidly learn and apply new technical knowledge. Preferred Qualifications (Bonus): - Experience with automated testing tools or scripting. - Familiarity with BIOS/UEFI configuration and firmware updates.,
