Design Room-Design Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the team on Designing and modeling of Interior Plastic Components.
• Responsible for initiating design solutions for Soft trim and NVH Insulation components for meeting the cad requirements
• Create Technical data sheet and DVP&R for the new components
• Create DVPR /DFMEA for the trim components and align with the supplier/team
• CAD Data finalization of design before Step releases and TKO Packaging and clearance studies of trim components with the surrounding parts to make sure that part is within the specification
• Coordinate with the CAE team to makes sure that part is meeting the components target and meeting the functional requirements of the system Co-ordinate design release/TKO sign-off processes and ensure targets are met according to project timeline
• Interacts with the cross-functional engineering, vehicle engineering team, purchase, and plant teams to execute and develop the components
• Responsible for quality improvements, weight reduction, cost reduction, development and validation
• Manufacturing and assembly feasibility study and benchmarking study as and when required.
• Design Support for the analysis teams (Impact, Durability and NVH) to meet various Regulatory and test requirements
  

Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Product Design & development experience in automotive Trim Components: Hard trim((Floor console, Door trim and Instrument panel, Pillar trims and Rear quarter trim components) soft trim (Carpets, Cargo systems -Parcel shelf\ Load floor, Dash panel, Dash insulator, Foams, Interior\ Exterior Silencer and Headliner components)
• Working experience in Component & System level designing and development
• Knowledge in UG or CATIA modeling, Surfacing and Enovia.
• Good Knowledge in Manufacturing & Assembly feasibility study.
