Job Description

As a Project Design Manager at Arcadis, you will be responsible for managing the multi-delivery of projects from GEC, collaborating with senior stakeholders and operationally overseeing project teams. Your role will involve assisting in the development of project delivery strategies, establishing multi-disciplinary GEC teams, and maximizing GEC contributions to projects. Your commercial acumen will be crucial in ensuring the successful execution of mid to large projects to meet project needs and objectives. Reporting to the GEC Project Delivery Director - Mobility, you will work closely with GEC Discipline Directors, GEC BA Managers, BA Pursuits Leads, BA Project Directors, BA Project Managers, and BA Engineering/Design Managers. Your key accountabilities will include leading project implementation, providing technical advice to team members, supporting commercial management, translating project objectives into plans, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with contracts, and analyzing data to contribute to decision-making. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key internal stakeholders, leading project teams, setting project delivery approaches, managing performance, and driving standardization and automation of processes for continuous improvement. Your role will involve coordinating design teams and stakeholders, overseeing design management, maintaining compliance, optimizing workflows, tracking documentation changes, leading communication efforts, managing budgets, conducting reviews, and resolving design challenges efficiently. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, with qualifications in financial/business management, client management, innovation, and leadership being highly desirable. Ideally, you should have 7-15+ years of experience in the Engineering and Construction services sector, including successfully pursuing and leading mid to large project teams within a multinational engineering or professional services firm.
