Roles & Responsibilities

Design & Development

• Understand customer requirements and prepare layout designs accordingly
• Design circuit diagrams for production using tools such as

  SolidWorks (Drafting Workbench)

• Create cutting charts and insertion charts from circuit diagrams

• Calculate circuit lengths based on layout and design assumptions

• Prepare layout designs and manage all design-related activities from received samples

Documentation & Charts

• Prepare

  Bill of Materials (BOM)

  and document assumptions
• Prepare

  crimping charts

  and

  insertion charts

• Maintain records of engineering changes and design updates

Component Selection & Validation

• Identify connectors and terminal series from connector catalogs
• Select materials and components considering manufacturability and serviceability
• Assist in proto-sample preparation from start to finish
• Conduct validations and functional checks with respect to design

Coordination & Support

• Coordinate with the

  production

  and

  quality teams

  to resolve design-related issues
• Maintain awareness of

  production processes

  and contribute to process improvement
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers for technical clarifications and cost optimization

Skills & Software

• Proficiency in

  SolidWorks

  (Drafting Workbench essential)
• Understanding of wiring harness components and layout design
• Familiarity with circuit diagram interpretation and documentation practices

Educational Qualification

• Diploma or Bachelor's in

  Electrical

  ,

  Electronics

  , or

  Mechanical Engineering

• Preferred: Experience inautomotive wiring harness design
