Design Engineer

We are seeking a Design Engineer with hands-on experience in SolidWorks, strong basic machine design knowledge, and a solid understanding of machining processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing mechanical components and assemblies, preparing manufacturing drawings, and supporting production activities. Key ResponsibilitiesCreate 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks Design mechanical components and assemblies based on functional requirements Apply basic machine design principles in product development Prepare detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes Coordinate with manufacturing and machining teams to ensure design feasibility Modify and optimize designs based on production feedback Maintain proper design documentation and revision control Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field Proficiency in SolidWorks (Part, Assembly, and Drawing modules) Strong understanding of machine elements (shafts, bearings, gears, fasteners, etc.) Good knowledge of machining processes such as: Turning Milling Drilling Grinding Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T basics Basic knowledge of manufacturing tolerances and fits Preferred Skills (Optional)Experience with sheet metal or weldment design Familiarity with ISO/ASME drawing standards Exposure to ERP or PLM systems Knowledge of cost-effective design and manufacturability (DFM) Soft SkillsGood problem-solving skills Attention to detail Effective communication and teamwork Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
