Design Engineer – Upper Body Structure

Key Responsibilities:

• Create concept designs / layouts / alternate designs / master sections considering manufacturing, packaging, assembly, and performance for inner/outer/quarter/D-ring/roof areas.

• Proficient in CATIA V5/V6, PLM, TCE, Enovia, 3DExperience.

• Spot weld point creation in PLM/TCE/Enovia/3DExperience.

• Knowledge of DFM, DFA, DFS.

• Basic product & process knowledge for digital packaging & simulation study.

• Apply GD&T principles; generate 2D drawings and 3D annotations for components and assemblies.

• BOM creation and data management in PLM/TCE/Enovia/3DExperience.

• Prepare technical documents and presentations as directed by the Technical Lead.

• Communicate regularly with peers, onsite team, and customers; attend review meetings and provide inputs as required.

• Participate in knowledge sharing, training, idea generation for productivity/process improvement, and contribute to patents/technical papers.

• Onsite client support if required.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s in Engineering (BE/M.Tech/MS) from a recognized university.

• 3–9 years of experience in Upper Body Structure design.

• Strong experience with CATIA V5/V6, PLM, TCE, Enovia, 3DExperience.

• Knowledge of product design, process feasibility, and digital simulation.

• Strong teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.

• Customer-centric mindset with a drive for results and quality delivery.
