Design Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer with strong expertise in SolidWorks and a proven background in mechanical design, product development, and engineering problem-solving. The ideal candidate will design activities from concept through production, ensuring high-quality, manufacturable, and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end mechanical design of components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks.
• Develop 3D models, detailed drawings, BOMs, and engineering documents to support prototypes and production.
• Conduct design analysis, including GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and feasibility studies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain) to ensure design intent, manufacturability, and performance.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to improve product quality and reliability.
• Optimize designs for cost, performance, weight, materials, and manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, plastics, casting, etc.).
• Work closely with suppliers and vendors to validate design feasibility and support production ramp-up.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• 7–12 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design using SolidWorks.
• Strong command of SolidWorks modules: Part modeling, Assembly, Drawings, Weldments, Sheet Metal, Surfacing, and PDM.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently with minimal supervision.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
