Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Design & Drafting

Design and drafting of
tools, product drawings, and process drawings
for screw manufacturing.
Preparation of
proposal drawings
as per customer requirements and sample evaluation.
Design of
multi-station headers, cold forging machines, press form tools
, and related components.
Development of
special fasteners
including:

Weld screws
Special socket screws
Rivets
Clevis pins
Ogival point screws

Documentation & Customer Requirements

Preparation and submission of
APQP documents
.
Preparation and submission of
PPAP Level 15 documentation
.
Support sample approval, customer feedback analysis, and design modifications.

Technical Expertise

Strong knowledge of:

Metric & Inch threads
Self-tapping threads
Taptite threads
NTP threads
Ogival point geometry

Good understanding of
cold forging processes
, multi-stage headers, and press machines.
Hands-on knowledge in
tool making and tool service
for forging tools.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work with production, quality, and tool-room teams for successful implementation of new designs.
Provide guidance on tooling issues and support process improvements.
Conduct feasibility studies and propose design solutions for manufacturability.

Qualification

B.E. (Mechanical Engineering)
from a recognized institution.

Software Skills

AutoCAD
Pro-Engineer (Creo)
ANSYS
Operating Systems:
Windows 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10
