Responsible for new product (casting) development 2. Improvement of existing castings 3. To manage customer complaints related to casting defects 1. New Product (casting) Development Carry flexibility study (tolerance, complexities, infrastructure, new grade etc.,) upon receiving the RFQ from the marketing department. Preparation of detailed technology of pattern layout and sharing with patter shop. Follow up with a pattern shop for the purchase order. Creation of SAP codes for the new castings. Preparation of PPAP documents and submit to customers and also preparation of process sheet for internal process.. Prepare and issue route cards to the planning department. Witness all core making, mould making and core assembly mould and pouring. Follow up with First stage, HT, felting, NDT test and dimensional layout and ensure the castings are as per customer requirements. Identify and suggest defective castings for re-work with support from the MAGMA team and Technical Head. Customer offering of sample coatings to customers. To analyse and identify quality issues / clarifications in the PNCR from customers. Finalisation of castings for bulk production with Technical Head's approval. WWhat You'll Do This position will be responsible for maintaining product information within Eaton's Product Data Hub, with a focus on attaining a high degree of product data quality, consistency and completeness for over 6 million products globally. The position is responsible for cleansing and maintaining product attributes across the Electrical group. Write and edit a heavy volume of product information such as product descriptions, product attributes and unstructured content. Ability to find inconsistencies in product information and working through the enterprise governance processes for standardization. Responsible for providing tactical assistance to Product life cycle management in enterprise/business systems and services. Ensure accuracy, completeness and health requirements for product data globally. Responsibility for collecting, organizing, creating, documenting, and entering detailed attribute information. Work with Product Data Hub tools to build a centralized product database for Electrical Product lines. Experience in Product lifecycle Management, product development and management exposure. Collaborates with technical team for system improvements and testing of Integration mappings between different applications and PDH. Works with different source systems (Product drawings, ERPs, etc.) to source product attributes and specifications. Ability to present details of complex data quality or workflow issues for internal review. Flexible attitude to work with and the willingness to learn new skills when required. Role & responsibilities Must have strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other design software, with a focus on 3D modelling, surface parts, sheet metal components, and assemblies, along with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience is most preferable. Person Required from the Mechanical Background Strong understanding and practical knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance) is required. Familiarity with Design History File (DHF) documentation and quality standards is an added advantage. Must be capable of independently preparing in-process drawings, final product drawings, and assembly drawings. Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, and fabrication is preferred. Good understanding of material selection and mechanical properties. Ability to perform basic tolerance analysis and fit studies. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Good communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams like production, quality, and suppliers.
