Design Engineer Mechanical

As a Design Engineer at Arcadis, you will be joining the Water Design and Engineering team to work on projects in Mumbai/Bangalore/Hyderabad/Noida offices. You will have the opportunity to contribute your skills to a variety of water and wastewater projects for clients regionally and across the UK. Reporting to the Technical Discipline Lead or Technical Director, you will be responsible for specifying and designing mechanical process plant on projects to meet or exceed client expectations. Your role will involve managing selected projects, overseeing analysis and design, ensuring quality assurance, and effective communication with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Manage selected projects for Water Mechanical team - Oversee production and verification of analysis and design, including drawings and reports - Allocate technical resources, ensure quality assurance, and manage client feedback - Engage with various Arcadis offices regarding safe design requirements and resolve issues - Develop technical methodologies to add value to projects and guide junior colleagues - Review work and drive culture of checking and accountability within the team - Familiarize with client specifications, processes, and technical preferences - Collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure integrity of overall design - Provide technical advice to project team members - Handle multiple management responsibilities for complex projects in a single discipline - Manage design Health & Safety for project works Qualifications Required: - Bachelor/Masters in Mechanical Engineering - 5 - 8+ years of relevant experience in design of water and wastewater treatment systems - Registered professional with relevant professional organizations - Knowledge of British Standards is preferable - Excellent communication skills in English language Arcadis is committed to empowering individuals to be their best and believes in the skills-based approach.
