Design Engineer

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Product Design:

• Design and develop products that meet client specifications and market demands.
• Create detailed design drawings, specifications, and models.

Product Costing & BOQ Preparation:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for products.
• Analyze and optimize product costs to ensure competitiveness and profitability.

Coordination with Clients & BDMs:

• Collaborate with clients and Business Development Managers (BDMs) to clarify product requirements and specifications.
• Provide technical support and guidance during the product development lifecycle.

New Product Development:

• Lead the development of new products from concept to production, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and testing to validate product designs.

Vendor Coordination:

• Work closely with vendors to source raw materials and components required for product development and production.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in product design and development, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Auto CAD software and other design tools.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in product costing and BOQ preparation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with clients, BDMs, and vendors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
