Deputy Manager/ Manager- Regional Export Control

Job Description:- Position: Deputy Export Control Manager – Asia Pacific Reports to: Regional Export Control Manager, Asia Pacific Purpose of the Role Deputize for the Regional Export Control Manager in Asia Pacific. Support the roll-out and implementation of export control directives, policies, procedures, and standards. Ensure compliance with applicable national and international export control laws and regulations. Provide guidance, solutions, and transactional support to business units. Identify and assess risks, applying export control requirements across business activities and processes. Key Responsibilities Determine export control authorization requirements and support license applications. Communicate and implement regulatory changes in coordination with business units. Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Customs, Corporate Security, and other stakeholders. Review and execute SAP GTS transactions. Support material master data classification and business partner sanctions screening. Conduct Know Your Business Partner (KYBP) and due diligence activities. Assist in investigations, audits, compliance/risk assessments, and corrective actions. Actively promote export control compliance and deliver targeted trainings. Participate in strategic meetings and projects to address export control concerns. Desired Candidate Profile Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (advanced degree preferred). Experience: 3–5 years in export control and sanctions compliance. Strong knowledge of EU and US regulations. Experience classifying items under regional export control rules. Familiarity with SAP GTS or other export control software (preferred). Exposure to international operations and matrix organizations. Skills & Competencies: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Authority, assertiveness, and ability to work independently. Effective communicator and trainer on compliance topics. Team player with ability to collaborate across functions. Other: Willingness to travel up to 30%.
