About the Role

Deputy General Manager Sales & Operations

Key Responsibilities

A. Sales & Business Development

Identify, target, and acquire new clients

Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals.

Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer mapping to identify new business opportunities.

Lead the preparation of commercial proposals, RFQs/RFPs, pricing models, and customer presentations.

B. Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and CXO-level clients.

Ensure high customer satisfaction through timely solution delivery and proactive communication.

Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and long-term agreements with clients.

Address customer concerns and ensure smooth onboarding and operational handover.

C. Solution Design & Coordination

Work closely with operations, warehouse, transport, and solution design teams to create customized logistics solutions.

Evaluate client requirements and recommend suitable service offerings warehousing, distribution, last-mile, transportation, and value-added services.

Support cost modeling and project feasibility analysis.

D. Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and train the sales team to achieve quarterly and annual targets.

Set KPIs, review performance, and drive a high-performance sales culture.

Guide team members in pipeline management, lead generation, and customer engagement.

E. Reporting & Performance Tracking

Monitor sales forecasts, pipeline health, and conversion metrics.

Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and business review presentations for leadership.

Track market trends, pricing updates, and competitor offerings.

F. Key Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of logistics, warehousing, transportation, and supply chain management.

Proven track record in sales and business development within the 3PL industry.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

Ability to build long-term relationships with enterprise customers.

Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Leadership skills to manage and motivate team members.
