Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • To lead and manage all civil infrastructure development and maintain projects across the college campus, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop master plans for campus infrastructure expansion and modernization.
  • Align civil projects with academic and institutional goals.
  • Oversee design, tendering, and execution of construction projects.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Prepare project budgets and monitor expenditures.
  • Approve procurement of materials and services.
  • Ensure adherence to building codes, environmental norms, and safety regulations.
  • Liaise with government bodies for approvals and inspections.
  • Implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Supervise upkeep of buildings, roads, drainage, and utilities.
  • Manage a team of civil engineers, site supervisors staff.
  • Conduct performance reviews and training programs.
  • Maintain records of project plans, contracts, and progress reports.
  • Present updates to college management and stakeholders.
  • Oversee daily site operations, ensuring compliance with specifications, building codes, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct routine site inspections to track progress and proactively resolve any deviations or issues.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders for seamless project delivery.
  • Coordinate the procurement, inspection, and timely delivery of construction materials that meet regulatory and quality standards.
  • Proactively identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays, cost overruns, and safety incidents.
  • Checking thorough and organized documentation including progress reports, site diaries, change orders, and QA/QC records.
  • Conduct in site review meetings, ensuring all updates are accurately communicated and documented.
  • Develop & Check project-specific PERT charts in coordination with contractors and user departments to define timelines and milestones.
  • Ensure project completion adheres strictly to prescribed quality standards, timelines, and client expectations.

  • Scheduling and overseeing of all maintenance and housekeeping- related work (including electrical, mechanical, plumbing and carpentry) in the campus on daily basis.
  • Assign works to the maintenance & housekeeping teams such as technicians and supervisors.
  • Ensuring that all maintenance & housekeeping activities are done in accordance with SOP and safety procedures.
  • Manage the team size and plan the work accordingly.
  • Inspect the work areas and monitor for work completion.
  • Collect reports from the team and consolidate the number of works completed to report to the Management.
