Job Description

Deputy Area Manager - Debt Management Services - SME
Job Purpose
To achieve the assigned branch's Debt Management Services targets while ensuring monthly target fulfillment within the specified cost limits. Duties and Responsibilities

Achieve collections target by visiting customers/agencies.

Monitor performance against set parameters and provide regular updates and proper guidelines.

Review and track milestones to ensure progress.

Ensure legal guidelines are complied with during repossession of products.

Travel with Relationship Officers (ROs) as required.

Timely allocation of cases to team members.

Proficient in Excel for daily tracking and reporting.

Track daily performance of team members.

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.

Handle escalations promptly and effectively for issue resolution.

Manage Daily Risk Reports (DRR).

Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates.

Counsel and groom direct reportees to enhance their skill sets.

Manage a team of collection officers to achieve overall targets.

Rectify problems encountered during the collection process.

Manage average collection reports to monitor and improve performance.

Oversee legal recovery for Urban NPL Wheels (Vehicle Finance) and manage repossession and legal matters.

Handle litigation and case management.

Ensure compliance and risk mitigation.

Prepare and maintain reporting and documentation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Proven experience in debt management and collections, preferably in SME or vehicle finance sectors.

Strong knowledge of legal guidelines related to collections and repossession.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and daily performance tracking tools.

Experience in managing and developing teams.

Excellent communication, counseling, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to travel as required for customer and agency visits.

Experience in compliance, risk mitigation, litigation, and case management is preferred.
