Job Description

Deputy Area Manager - Debt Management Services - SME
Job Purpose
To achieve the assigned branch's Debt Management Services targets while ensuring monthly target fulfillment within the specified cost limits. Duties and Responsibilities

Achieve collections target by visiting customers/agencies.

Monitor performance against set parameters and provide regular updates and proper guidelines.

Review and track milestones.

Ensure legal guidelines are complied with while repossessing products.

Travel with Recovery Officers (RO's) as required.

Timely allocation of cases to team members.

Proficient in Excel for daily tracking of team performance.

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.

Handle escalations promptly and effectively to resolve issues.

Daily management of DRR (Daily Risk Report).

Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates.

Counsel and groom direct reportees to enhance and polish their skill sets.

Manage a team of collection officers to achieve overall targets.

Rectify problems encountered during the collection process.

Manage average collection reports to monitor and improve collection performance.

Legal recovery for Urban NPL Wheels (Vehicle Finance) repossession and legal management.

Litigation and case management.

Compliance and risk mitigation.

Reporting and documentation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Proven experience in debt management, collections, or related field.

Strong proficiency in Excel and daily performance tracking.

Experience managing and allocating cases among team members.

Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

Experience handling escalations and resolving customer issues.

Familiarity with legal recovery, litigation, and compliance processes.

Demonstrated capability in developing collection strategies and leading a team to achieve targets.

Excellent communication, counseling, and team management skills.

Willingness to travel as per job requirements.
