As the Dean - VSP of Humanities and Social Sciences, your role is crucial in providing guidance and leadership in academic qualifications, pedagogy, curriculum, research, student recruitment and retention, and faculty development within the disciplines of Psychology, English, History, Sociology, Political Science, Media Studies, and related fields. Your responsibilities include overseeing the academic integrity and quality of programs, supporting intergenerational relationships, and advancing interdisciplinary initiatives within the College and University. Key Responsibilities: - Committed to the mission and vision of the School of Humanities, the College, and the University, emphasizing values of excellence, diversity, sustainability, and global involvement. - Advance student, faculty, and staff successes through fostering experimentation and development of new ideas and programs. - Lead, manage, and administer all aspects of the School of Humanities, integrating contemporary relevance to Gandhian ideology, offering Value Based Education support, and organizing Cultural Immersion Programs. - Serve as a dynamic leader, advocate, and mentor, effectively communicating with diverse audiences through various channels. - Interact with and support diverse students, alumni, faculty, staff, administrators, and external stakeholders, aligning with the values of excellence, diversity, global involvement, and accountability. Qualifications Required: - Hold a PhD from an Accredited University. - Possess a minimum of 15 years of university teaching and administrative experience. - Demonstrate an established national reputation in research, teaching, and service, with citations in peer-reviewed journals. - Showcase scholarship, academic achievement, and the ability to collaborate with faculty in developing a compelling vision of architecture education, particularly focusing on studio-inquiry and problem-based instructional pedagogies.
