Job Description

Summary:

The Demi Chef de Partie (Continental) is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality continental dishes. The role supports the Chef de Partie and ensures that all menu items are prepared according to established standards, maintaining high levels of hygiene, consistency, and efficiency in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present continental dishes to the required standards.
  • Assist the Chef de Partie in managing daily kitchen operations and food production.
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
  • Ensure all mise en place is ready before service.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and sanitation.
  • Check freshness and quality of ingredients before use.
  • Monitor food stock and report shortages or wastage to the Chef de Partie.
  • Assist in receiving and storing food supplies properly.
  • Support in menu planning and development under the guidance of senior chefs.
  • Comply with HACCP and food safety regulations at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or fine-dining restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of continental cuisine and cooking techniques.
  • Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for food presentation and quality.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift moderate weights as required in kitchen operations.
  • Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
