We are seeking a skilled DB2 Mainframe Developer with extensive experience in developing and maintaining DB2 database solutions on mainframe systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SQL, stored procedures, and deep knowledge of DDL (Data Definition Language) and DML (Data Manipulation Language) operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain DB2 databases and objects on mainframe environments.
Write, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
Perform DDL operations including table creation, schema changes, and index design.
Perform DML tasks including data manipulation, data migration, and transformation.
Support application developers and analysts with database design and tuning.
Analyze existing systems and recommend improvements for performance and maintainability.
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all environments.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and system integration testing.
Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile or Waterfall environment.
Required Skills:
Strong experience with DB2 on z/OS (Mainframe) environment.
Expertise in SQL and performance tuning of queries.
Proficient in writing and managing stored procedures using SQL PL.
Strong understanding of DDL and DML in DB2.
