Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer

    IBM InfoSphere/DataStage

    environments (Dev, QA, Prod).
  • Monitor job execution, performance, and system health.
  • Perform

    environment management

    , including configuration, patching, upgrades, and server maintenance.
  • Handle

    user management

    , roles, permissions, and security configurations.
  • Deploy DataStage jobs, patches, and project artifacts across environments.
  • Troubleshoot platform-related issues, including connectivity, scheduling, logs, and performance tuning.
  • Work with infrastructure teams for

    Unix/Linux administration

    and server-related tasks.
  • Ensure backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures are in place.
  • Optimize system performance and identify recurring issues.
  • Maintain documentation for architecture, upgrades, and operational procedures.

Technical Skills Required

  • Strong hands-on experience with

    IBM InfoSphere DataStage Admin

    activities.
  • Proficiency in

    Unix/Linux/AIX

    commands and shell scripting (basic).
  • Knowledge of

    WebSphere

    ,

    Information Server

    , and

    metadata repository

    .
  • Experience in

    installation, configuration, and environment setup

    .
  • Understanding of networking, security, and access controls.
  • Experience in DataStage job migration and troubleshooting job failures.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Basic understanding of DataStage development (for debugging only, not coding).
  • Experience with high-availability/clustering setups.
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools (Autosys, Control-M, etc.).
  • Knowledge of databases such as

    Oracle, SQL Server, DB2
