Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure

  high availability and performance

  of production systems.
• Manage and scale infrastructure across

  multiple cloud providers

  and

  hundreds of clusters

  .

• Automate

  operational tasks to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve

  observability

  and

  system reliability

  .
• Architect and evolve

  distributed, cloud-native systems

  for high throughput and low latency.
• Lead and guide teams in

  monitoring best practices

  for scalable and resilient systems.
• Integrate and evaluate new tools, frameworks, and technologies as needed.
• Investigate and resolve system-level issues across the stack—from

  OS kernel to application code

  .
• Build and maintain tools for

  engineering productivity

  and infrastructure observability.
• Design scalable infrastructure to support

  exponential customer growth

  .
• Partner with leadership teams to align

  technical direction

  with

  business objectives

  .

Skills & Tools Required

• 5+ years

  of hands-on experience with

  Datadog

  in

  multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments

  .
• Strong background in

  Systems Engineering

  or

  Software Development

  .
• Proficiency with cloud platforms:

  AWS

  ,

  GCP

  , or

  Azure

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  Kubernetes

  ,

  Docker

  , and

  service mesh

  technologies.
• Proficient in at least one programming/scripting language:

  Go, Python, or Java

  .
• In-depth knowledge of

  monitoring, alerting

  , and

  incident response

  practices.
• Familiarity with

  CI/CD

  tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.
• Strong understanding of

  Linux/Windows internals

  ,

  networking

  , and

  OS fundamentals

  .
• Experience working with

  distributed systems

  and

  high-availability architectures

  .
• Hands-on experience in building

  dashboards

  , setting up

  monitors

  alert systems

  .
• Optional but valuable: experience with
