Datadog Specialist

As a potential candidate for the Datadog role, your responsibilities will include: - Customizing and configuring Datadog agent YAML to enable various checks. - Building playbooks to automate agent installation & configuration. - Working with OpenTelemetry to extract key infrastructure metrics. - Modifying application code to enable traces and spans. - Enabling Digital Experience Monitoring for browser and mobile apps. - Creating and managing API and browser synthetic tests. - Handling log ingestion, indexing, parsing, and exploration. - Setting up pipelines, custom parsers, and archives for logs. - Applying Datadog tagging best practices for seamless filtering and grouping. - Integrating Datadog with various tools and technologies. - Designing custom dashboards based on business/application needs. - Managing users, roles, and licensing within the platform. - Guiding L1 & L2 teams in implementing Datadog solutions. As for the qualifications required for this role, you should ideally possess: - A Bachelors degree in CS, IT, or a related field. - Hands-on experience in Datadog setup and administration. - Strong skills in Linux/Unix systems and scripting (Bash/Python). - A solid grasp of cloud components and DevOps tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Chef, etc.). - Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work across teams. - Strong communication and collaboration skills.
