Database support Engineer - GEXL

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional advice and technical support to clients across multiple database technologies.
• Manage support cases and ensure adherence to SLA timelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve real-world database issues, ensuring stability and performance.
• Collaborate closely with R&D and Project Management to deliver timely, high-quality outcomes.
• Execute service activities including incident management, root cause analysis, and preventive measures.
• Maintain, create, and update all forms of technical documentation to support internal and client teams.
• Mentor and guide new employees or trainees to strengthen overall support capabilities

Required Skills:

Must-Have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in database support, with strong analytical troubleshooting skills.
• Proven ability to work in multicultural environments and collaborate across global teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience liaising across different hierarchical levels
  

Technical Expertise

• Strong proficiency in databases and SQL, including SQL scripting.
• Experience with Data Warehousing (DWH) and Business Intelligence (BI) architecture.
• Familiarity with database front-end tools, reporting tools, ETL tools, and drivers.
• Hands-on programming skills in Python, Lua, Java, or R. Exposure to Linux environments and shell scripting
