Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for keeping production systems running smoothly across various worldwide platforms by utilizing your expertise in Oracle, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Kafka, Redis, Ceph, and other technologies. Your role will involve collaborating with different teams to provide 24x7 support for Qualys production applications with a focus on database optimizations. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work on installation, configuration, and performance tuning of databases in a multi-DC environment. Key Responsibilities: - Perform installation, configuration, and performance tuning of Oracle, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Kafka, Redis, Ceph in a multi-DC environment. - Identify bottlenecks and implement performance tuning measures. - Ensure the integrity and security of the databases. - Monitor performance and manage configuration parameters to optimize query responses. - Install, test, and patch databases, ensuring correct functioning of storage, archiving, backup, and recovery procedures. - Understand business applications to suggest and implement necessary database or architecture changes. Qualifications: - Minimum 5 years of extensive experience in managing SQL & No-SQL databases. - Proficiency in diagnostic, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools for performance optimization. - Understanding of the interrelationships between databases, business applications, and operating systems. - Knowledge of backup and recovery scenarios, as well as real-time data synchronization. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Ability to collaborate with multiple teams to resolve data issues in a mid to large-size production environment. - Working knowledge of ansible, Jenkins, git, and grafana will be beneficial.,
