Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced Database Developer / Data Modeler to join our technology team supporting data initiatives for our asset management business. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data modeling, database design , and a deep understanding of buy-side financial concepts , particularly within Private Markets (Private Credit, Private Equity, Real Estate, Alternatives)  

Experience : 8 12 years  

Location: Mumbai  

Mode of Work : Full time - hybrid  

Key Responsibilities:    

• Design and develop efficient, scalable, and secure database solutions  
  
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers  
  
• Perform query tuning, indexing, and performance optimization to ensure high availability and responsiveness  
  
• Create and maintain data models, ER diagrams, and database schemas  
  
• Build and manage data pipelines for ETL processes and real-time data flow  
  
• Collaborate with application developers to integrate database logic into business applications  
  
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with best practices  
  
• Monitor database performance and proactively resolve bottlenecks  
  
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to database design decisions  
  

• Strong hands-on experience with DB2, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar RDBMS  
  
• Proficient in writing and debugging stored procedures, functions, and triggers  
  
• Expertise in query optimization, execution plans, and index strategies  
  
• Solid understanding of data modeling (normalized and denormalized), star/snowflake schemas  
  
• Experience with data pipeline development and ETL tools  
  
• Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and database profiling  
  
• Knowledge of database security, backup, and recovery strategies  
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities  
  

Good to have skills:  

• Experience in data warehousing and business intelligence.   
  
• Knowledge of data governance practices.   
  
• Certification in data modeling or related fields.
