Data Support Engineer

As a Support Data Engineer at Persistent Ltd., you will be responsible for handling incidents and resolving them within SLA, leveraging your 5+ years of experience in Azure, Databricks platform, and relational database tasks. Your role will be crucial in providing technical support for data engineering tasks. **Key Responsibilities:** - Building scalable data pipelines and notebooks using pyspark, python, and SQL in Databricks - Orchestrating data workflows and integrating diverse data sources using Azure Data Factory (ADF) - Hands-on experience with data transformation, data integration using Rest API, Kafka, and writing unit test code - Expertise in building ETL data pipelines, extraction from different sources like Azure storage, HDFS, Kafka topics, structured and unstructured files, Hive - Understanding of Azure components (ADF, ADB, ADLS), version controlling (Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps), and deployment across different environments - Integrating data using REST/Kafka event streaming and monitoring integration pipelines using Splunk or Grafana - Knowledge of Incident Management, Problem Management, and ITIL Certified processes - Hands-on experience in monitoring applications and infrastructure from the cloud and optimizing them **Qualifications Required:** - Good understanding of streaming and integrating data using REST/Kafka event streaming - Familiarity with Splunk or Grafana for monitoring integration pipelines - ITIL Certification and hands-on experience in Incident Management - Ability to resolve incidents as per the tech stack and monitor applications and infrastructure The company, Persistent Ltd., offers a competitive salary and benefits package along with a culture focused on talent development and continuous growth opportunities.
