Primary title:
Senior Data Scientist (4+ yrs) — Remote (India)Role & Responsibilities
- Translate business problems into reproducible, production-ready ML solutions: define objectives, design experiments, and deliver validated models that drive KPIs.
- Build end-to-end pipelines: data ingestion, cleaning, feature engineering, model training, validation, and deployment using Python and modern ML tooling.
- Deploy and maintain models in production—implement monitoring, alerting, and retraining strategies to ensure performance and data drift management.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and analysts to prioritize use-cases, produce clear technical specifications, and implement scalable solutions.
- Design and run statistically-sound experiments (A/B tests) and analyze results to quantify impact and inform roadmap decisions.
- Document models, produce reproducible notebooks, and mentor junior data scientists to raise the team’s engineering and ML standards.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- 4+ years professional experience as a Data Scientist or similar role, delivering end-to-end ML projects.
- Strong Python proficiency (pandas, NumPy) and hands-on experience with ML libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch).
- Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, profiling, and performance tuning across OLTP/OLAP sources.
- Proven experience in feature engineering, model evaluation, and deploying models into production with observability.
- Solid understanding of statistics, experimental design, and A/B testing methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working cross-functionally with engineering and business teams.
Preferred
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and MLOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).
- Familiarity with big-data tools (Spark), workflow orchestration (Airflow), and feature stores.
- Domain exposure to time-series forecasting, NLP, recommendation systems, or consulting environments.
