Data Privacy Specialist

As a Data Privacy Specialist at Omnicom Global Solutions, you will play a crucial role in protecting data and operational integrity globally, thereby enhancing client trust and reducing enterprise risk. Your responsibilities will include: - Overseeing and implementing global data privacy and protection standards across Omnicom's operations. - Leading or supporting cross-functional efforts with Legal, IT, vendors, and clients to manage data protection initiatives. - Providing subject matter guidance on global privacy laws and frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, and DPDP. - Ensuring privacy-by-design practices are embedded into systems, products, and operations. - Supporting data privacy risk assessments, data subject access requests, privacy incidents, audits, and gap analyses to enhance the control environment. - Managing operational privacy program elements like consent, access rights, and data lifecycle governance. - Driving an enterprise-wide rollout of a centralized privacy management system. - Applying information security and data privacy policies, procedures, and practices to align with industry standards at Omnicom. - Monitoring regulatory developments and recommending updates to policies or controls as necessary. Qualifications Required: - 3-5 years of experience in data privacy or data protection. - Strong knowledge of global privacy frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, and emerging data protection laws. - Experience in applying privacy principles in a business and client-facing context. - Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple departments and stakeholders. - Excellent analytical and communication skills with the capability to translate legal/privacy requirements into business-friendly solutions. - Understanding of privacy risk, impact assessments, and data lifecycle management. - Self-starter with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines independently. Preferred Qualifications: - Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent. - Experience working in marketing, media, or digital services industries. - Familiarity with data discovery, mapping, or GRC tools supporting privacy programs.
