Azure Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain

  scalable data pipelines

  on Azure
• Build and optimize

  ETL/ELT workflows

  for batch and real-time data processing
• Implement and manage

  Azure Data Lake

  and data warehouse solutions
• Collaborate with analytics, BI, and data science teams to support data requirements
• Ensure

  data quality, performance, security, and reliability

  across pipelines
• Monitor pipelines, troubleshoot failures, and optimize cost and performance
• Document data architectures, workflows, and operational procedures

Required Technical Skills

Azure Data & Analytics Services

• Strong hands-on experience with:

• Azure Data Factory (ADF)

• Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)

• Azure Synapse Analytics

• Azure SQL / SQL Managed Instance

• Experience with

  Azure Databricks

  and Spark-based processing

Programming & Querying

• Strong proficiency in

  Python

  (primary)
• Advanced

  SQL

  skills for data transformation and analytics
• Experience with

  PySpark / Spark SQL

Data Engineering Concepts

• Expertise in

  data warehousing

  , data lakes, and lakehouse architectures
• Strong data modeling skills (star schema, snowflake schema, dimensional modeling)
• Experience with structured and semi-structured data (JSON, Parquet, Avro)

Orchestration & Automation

• Pipeline orchestration using

  ADF

• CI/CD implementation for data pipelines using

  Azure DevOps

• Infrastructure as Code using

  ARM templates / Terraform

Security, Monitoring & Governance

• Experience with

  Azure IAM

• Understanding of data governance and compliance (optional but preferred)
