Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and deploy scalable, reusable data systems.
• Manage and optimize data and compute environments for efficiency.
• Lead and mentor a small development team; conduct code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and guide best practices.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years’ experience with Linux, Bash, Python, SQL.
• 4+ years with Spark and the Hadoop ecosystem.
• 4+ years using AWS (EMR, Glue, Athena, Redshift).
• Experience designing/managing data flows and APIs.
• 4+ years in team management and mentorship.
• Passion for solving complex, real-world data problems.

Preferred Skills:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience with Python, C++, large-scale data infrastructure, Hive, Airflow, dbt, Airbyte.
• Strong knowledge of data organization, cataloging, and relational databases.
• Familiarity with AWS and/or GCP cloud ecosystems.
