Data Engineer (SQL | Python | Databricks | Power BI - Optional)

The Datalytix Solutions is a modern data and analytics consulting company specializing in data engineering, BI, and cloud-based lakehouse architectures. We work with international clients across industries to build scalable data pipelines, automate reporting, and enable data-driven decision-making.

We’re looking for a junior to mid-level Data Engineer who is passionate about working with data, optimizing pipelines, and building insights using modern data tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using SQL and Python.
• Support and maintain data processing jobs in Databricks / Azure / AWS environments.
• Work with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) to extract, transform, and load data efficiently.
• Build and optimize queries and stored procedures for analytics and reporting use cases.
• Collaborate with BI and analytics teams to prepare clean, structured datasets for Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Troubleshoot data inconsistencies, ensure data quality, and maintain pipeline reliability.
• Work with APIs, flat files (CSV, JSON), and other data sources for integration.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and version control practices (Git).

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in SQL (query optimization, joins, CTEs, window functions).
• Experience with Databricks, PySpark, or similar data platforms.
• Knowledge of Git, Airflow, or DBT for workflow orchestration.
• Hands-on experience in Python for data processing (Pandas, NumPy, etc.).
• Understanding of data modeling and ETL/ELT principles.
• Familiarity with cloud data environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Exposure to Power BI (data modeling, DAX basics, visualization best practices).
• Understanding of data lakehouse concepts and cloud-based data architecture.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Data Science, or a related field.
• Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
