Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data architectures
Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and store large datasets
Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across multiple data sources
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions
Manage and optimize data warehouses and data lakes
Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance
Monitor data workflows and troubleshoot performance or data-related issues
Document data models, processes, and system designs

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Hands-on experience with data pipeline and orchestration tools
Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT concepts, and distributed systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka
Familiarity with data warehousing solutions like Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake
Experience working with data visualization or analytics teams
Knowledge of Python or other programming languages used for data processing
