The majority of time is spent overseeing the design, implementation, or delivery of projects, processes, or programs using knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education or equivalent work experience.This job family performs data research and analysis to support business operations including: creating data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets; analysis may be applied to various areas of the business (e.g., Market Economics, Supply Chain, Marketing/Advertising, Scientific Research, etc.); researching and applying knowledge of existing and emerging data science principles, theories, and techniques to inform business decisions.Positions in this sub-family are responsible for general analytics and statistical modeling on existing data sets in various areas of the business (e.g., Market Economics, Supply Chain, Marketing/Advertising, Financial Services, Scientific Research, etc.). Activities include: defining data requirements, data collection, processing, cleaning, analysis, modeling and visualization; examining and identifying data patterns and trends to help answer business questions and improve decision making; providing inputs for complex Data Science and Big Data Mining projects; and identifying areas to increase efficiency and automation of data analysis processes.Overview: Individual contributor that works under moderate supervision. Applies practical knowledge of job and subject area. Has solid knowledge of theories, policies, products, and/or procedures.
