Data Analyst, Internal Audit

Role Overview: As a Data Analyst at Envista reporting to the Director of Internal Audit, your primary responsibility will be to develop the data analytics strategy and conduct data analytics audits for the Internal Audit function. You will be involved in creating computer-assisted audit techniques to enhance the depth and breadth of conventional financial audit techniques for significant company applications. Your role will contribute to the development and execution of the Data Analytics strategy for Internal Audit, including conducting analytics audits across global locations at Envista. Additionally, you will assist in extracting data from systems and act as a liaison between external auditors, the SOX team, and the business. Key Responsibilities: - Support audit teams in planning and completing financial and operational audits by fulfilling data analysis needs, including extracting information from systems for external auditors and the SOX team. - Assist in site and process audits using existing analytic tools and developing new analytics based on business requirements. - Help automate testing for the internal audit department. - Demonstrate proficiency in analytics for assigned applications and various analytic techniques to independently define, develop, and execute analytics. - Document findings effectively and validate them with the business, as well as communicate findings and analytical solutions to upper management. - Undertake special projects, ad-hoc data analysis requests, and participate in the implementation of new processes. - Create and maintain data analytics dashboards and solutions based on user feedback, along with technical documentation for the analytic tools used by the department. - Explore the application of new analytic and automation tools for process enhancement. - Provide training to department members on utilizing available tools and utilize data for the department's continuous risk identification program. - Continuously improve analytic operations and audit efficiency by gathering feedback, assessing processes, and defining improvement requirements. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence/Data Science/Computer Science or a similar field with a minor in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, OR a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with a minor in Business Intelligence or a related field. - Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in a data analytics role, preferably in Big 4 firms or publicly traded US companies. - Preferred certifications like CA, CMA, or CFA. - Experience in driving analytics engagements, preferably in internal or external audits, risk and compliance, and/or internal controls. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. - Willingness to work on a schedule aligning with PST time zone. - Proficiency in ETL, data modeling, and designing data visualizations using tools like Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or ACL. - Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP and Oracle), HFM consolidation, Workday, and application controls. - Experience in development, testing, and implementation of analytics solutions with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Foundational knowledge of business operations and previous experience in Accounting, Finance, Internal Audit, Internal Controls, or Big 4 firms is advantageous.
