Data Analyst with Guidewire InsuranceNow (INow) experience

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Extraction & Analysis:

  Extract, clean, analyze, and profile data from the Guidewire InsuranceNow platform to support reporting needs, regulatory compliance, and analytical projects.

• Business Intelligence & Reporting:

  Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) related to P&C operations.

• Data Modeling & Mapping:

  Utilize a strong understanding of the Guidewire InsuranceNow data model to perform source-to-target data mapping and support data migration activities when moving to the cloud or integrating with other systems.

• Collaboration & Requirement Gathering:

  Partner with business analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Issue Resolution & Data Quality:

  Research data issues, troubleshoot complex problems, and implement solutions to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity within the platform.

• Process Optimization:

  Identify trends and anomalies in the data to recommend optimizations for business processes and workflows within the underwriting and claims cycles

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience:

  Proven experience as a data analyst within the P&C insurance domain, with hands-on experience using the

  Guidewire InsuranceNow platform

  .

• Technical Proficiency:

  Expert SQL skills, proficiency in data profiling techniques, and experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

• Platform Knowledge:

  Deep understanding of the InsuranceNow data structure (bean structures) and how data is generated within its UI configuration, business rules, and workflows.

• Analytical Abilities:

  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively present insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Tools:

  Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and potentially experience with Python, DBT, or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

• Domain Knowledge:

  Solid grasp of P&C insurance concepts including policy lifecycle, claims processing, and billing.
