Dairy Farm Manager

A Dairy Farm Manager oversees all aspects of a dairy farm's operations, including animal care, staff management, and financial planning. They are responsible for ensuring the health and productivity of the dairy herd, managing staff schedules, and maintaining equipment and facilities. Dairy Farm Managers also play a key role in financial management, budgeting, and record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities: Animal Care and Health: Managing the health and well-being of the dairy herd, including feeding, breeding, and veterinary care.

Staff Management: Hiring, training, and supervising farm staff, creating work schedules, and ensuring a safe working environment.

Operational Management: Overseeing milking operations, managing feed and supplies, maintaining equipment and facilities, and implementing quality control procedures.

Financial Management: Developing and managing budgets, monitoring expenses, and maximizing profitability.

Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of animal health, production, and farm operations.

Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and animal welfare standards.

Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategies to improve farm productivity and profitability. Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience: Significant experience in dairy farming and herd management. Knowledge: Strong understanding of animal health, nutrition, breeding, and dairy production.

Management Skills: Ability to manage staff, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts.

Financial Acumen: Understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and cost management.

Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, contractors, and other stakeholders. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to animal health, equipment maintenance, and operational efficiency.

Commitment to Animal Welfare: Understanding and commitment to best practices in animal care and welfare.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
