Cybersecurity Analyst

A Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for protecting an organization’s digital infrastructure and sensitive data from cyber threats. With 2–4 years of experience, you will identify vulnerabilities, monitor networks, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with security standards.

Educational requirements typically include a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or specialized cybersecurity programs. Certifications such as CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CompTIA Security+, or CISSP are highly valued and often preferred by employers.

In this role, you will work with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, endpoint protection, and SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) platforms to safeguard systems. Responsibilities include performing vulnerability assessments, implementing security protocols, analyzing breaches, preparing reports, and training staff on best practices.

Strong analytical and technical skills are required to stay ahead of evolving threats. Familiarity with scripting languages, cloud security, and regulatory frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR) is increasingly important. You must also be able to communicate risks and mitigation strategies clearly to management and non-technical teams.
