Customer Support & Operation & Sales Assistant

About the Role

This is a part-time contractor position, approximately 20 hours/week. The role is dedicated to supporting our Indian clients, handling customer support, sales inquiries, and operations for the Indian market.

Reporting to

Sales & Marketing Manager

Work Mode

• Fully remote, based in India
• Close collaboration with the Iceland HQ team and other remote members
• Communication through daily updates, weekly syncs, and structured feedback loops

Key Responsibilities

• Provide customer support and handle sales requests from Indian clients
• Manage operations for Indian bookings, ensuring smooth coordination with local partners and our Iceland office
• Understand client needs and design tailored travel plans that meet luxury standards
• Ensure accurate pricing, cost calculations, and itinerary logistics
• Anticipate client needs, solve problems proactively, and deliver seamless experiences
• Maintain high attention to detail in all communication and operational tasks
• Assist the Sales & Marketing Manager with trip advice, quote preparation, and sales inquiries for other markets when needed

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong mathematics and calculation ability for quotes, pricing, and logistics
• Solid background in travel operations or hospitality industry
• Experience in customer support with a service-minded approach

Soft Skills

• Proactive, self-driven, and does not wait for instructions
• Strong ability to self-learn and adapt to new tools and processes
• High-end & luxury mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
• Detail-oriented and highly organised
• Excellent communication skills, culturally aligned with Indian clients

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in luxury travel or high-end hospitality operations
• Understanding of high-net-worth client expectations and service standards
• Previous work with international teams in remote settings
