These include the Civil, Environmental and Mining Industries. Seequent is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to help grow and support our customer base in the Asia Pacific region - and contribute value in the areas of due diligence, safety, risk assessments, and corporate responsibility as it pertains to earth sciences. The Geotechnical Engineer spends time working face to face with our customers to discover challenges and to assist them with solutions that are certain to add value to their business. The role attends to new customers trying out the software at the pre-purchase stage through to experienced users needing technical support, training or project assistance. We want to ensure that our customers feel important and are well supported. By being an investigator and a problem solver, this role is responsible for providing both sales support and technical expertise through integrated solutions awareness, analysis and response times. This role will still be part of the global Technical Services team, which is responsible for ensuring that we understand our global client’s needs and that we cover a wide spread of time zones. Travel to deliver of sales support and training might make up 10-20% of your time per month in India as well as Asia Pacific. Being hands-on, task orientated, and customer focused, this role is responsible for providing well rounded technical assistance backed up by great product knowledge, quick response times, analysis, problem solving, and solution finding. Business acumen and the ability to deliver further growth is a core aspect within this role. Significant travel is to be expected to ensure we retain a strong market orientation. This role is a key part of growing our Geotechnical solutions and an opportunity to be part of an enthusiastic and dynamic team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to; Share expert-level product knowledge, workflows, and integrated solutions with new and existing users in the civil and mining sector, ensuring effective use of Seequent’s geotechnical tools. Collaborate with sales teams, including Account Managers, Customer Success Managers, and Inside Sales, to advance opportunities by conducting product demonstrations, understanding client workflows, setting up trials, and creating implementation plans to maximise client success. Act as the regional technical advocate for Seequent’s geotechnical portfolio, both internally and externally, through industry engagement and providing internal training to staff and developing a deep understanding of the civil engineering industry’s evolving needs and workflows. Use Seequent’s information platforms to gain insights into clients’ portfolios, organisation structures, and the diversity of users within their civil engineering operations, enabling targeted and proactive customer support. Provide remote technical support and guidance, working through specific examples with users and developing tailored solutions for complex geotechnical challenges. Engage in various user support interactions, including face-to-face meetings, web sessions, and email support, managing cases to timely and effective resolution. Proactively reach out to clients to conduct health checks, promote software upgrades, and embed new features and best practices in their workflows. Ensure that client accounts are accurately maintained in CRM systems, recording interactions such as health check outcomes, software upgrades, and training activities to keep all account information current and accessible to the team. Deliver regular training sessions on Seequent’s Geotechnical products, to enhance user proficiency and confidence in the software. Monitor client satisfaction levels within the civil engineering sector, continually working to improve outcomes, support experiences, and client perceptions. Represent the voice of the customer by advocating for software enhancements that reflect user needs and emerging trends within the civil engineering industry. To be successful in this role, you should have: Essential: University Degree in Geotechnical Engineering / Engineering Geology, BSc or MSc 5+ years of experience in the following areas: Geotechnical investigations, slope stability, geotechnical modelling, and/or conceptual site models.] Fluent English at a highly technical and professional level, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively. Strong skills in geotechnical modelling software, with the ability to apply software solutions to real-world challenges. Preference: Experience working in a large civil consultancy or ground engineering services firm. Strong understand of geological principles, and experience integrating geological modelling with geotechnical analysis Operational experience in civil/mining engineering projects. Experience working in India and/or South East Asia would be advantageous.
