Job Description

Role Overview: As the first point of contact for low to moderately complex export customers, you will be responsible for managing order entry, modifications, and general inquiries to ensure timely and accurate order processing. This role involves coordinating with logistics partners and internal teams to support export dispatch planning and inventory liquidation. You will handle a high volume of routine customer communications (via phone/email) for order entry and FAQs, processing customer orders accurately and within deadlines. Additionally, publishing order acknowledgements, shipment notifications, tracking details, and invoices will be part of your responsibilities. Export dispatch planning, coordinating export dispatches, monitoring and liquidating export inventory, and logistics coordination with transporters and freight forwarders are also crucial aspects of this role. Providing excellent customer support, resolving issues effectively, and maintaining accurate records of all interactions are key responsibilities. Supporting team initiatives to enhance proactive customer support and identifying areas for process improvement are essential for continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Manage order entry, modifications, and general inquiries for export customers - Coordinate with logistics partners and internal teams for export dispatch planning and inventory liquidation - Handle routine customer communications via phone/email, process orders accurately and within deadlines - Publish order acknowledgements, shipment notifications, tracking details, and invoices - Plan and coordinate export dispatches, monitor and liquidate export inventory - Coordinate with transporters and freight forwarders for timely shipment execution - Compile and distribute export and shipping documentation - Provide excellent customer support, offer first-call resolution, escalate complex issues - Maintain accurate records of interactions, prepare internal/customer reports - Support team initiatives for proactive customer support, identify process improvement areas Qualifications Required: - High school diploma or equivalent education - Additional certifications in logistics, supply chain, or customer service considered a plus - Compliance with export control or sanctions regulations may be required - Entry-level experience; minimal or no prior work experience necessary - Technical skills in order management systems, export documentation processes, logistics, international shipping practices, dispatch planning, coordination for export, order management, coordination with transporters/freight forwarders, releasing container plans, daily tracker monitoring, and liquidation of export inventory essential Please note that Cummins Inc. is offering a hybrid role in supply chain planning under the shop job type with ReqID 2416582.
