Roles and responsibilities

1. Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
2. Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media.
3. Set up meetings with potential clients and listen to their wishes and concerns.
4. Ensure the availability of stock for sales and demonstrations.
5. Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections.
6. Coordinating with the clients for quotations.
7. Collaborating with sales and marketing professionals to attract and retain new customers
8. Identify and track government, PSU, and private tenders through portals, newspapers, and other sources.
9. Study tender documents carefully to understand eligibility, technical, and commercial requirements.
10. Coordinate with internal departments (sales, finance, technical, production, etc.) to collect necessary information and documents for tender submission.
11. Prepare and compile tender documents including pre-qualification, technical, and financial bids.
12. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of tender submissions within deadlines.
13. Maintain a database of submitted tenders, outcomes, and related correspondences.

Key Skills

1. Strong knowledge of tendering process and documentation.
2. Familiarity with e-tendering platforms (GeM, state portals, etc.).
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
5. Attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Excellent negotiation skills

Qualification & Experience

• Postgraduate, Graduate in any discipline (Business Administration preferred).
• 1-3 years of experience in tendering, bidding, or contracts management (experience in electrical industry will be an added advantage).
• 1-3 years of experience in Client Relationship Management (experience in electrical industry will be an added advantage).
